Built on the pad,

Argus started as an internal tool. A field engineer was driving between wells to read numbers off a drive display, and losing a shift of production every time a pump tripped at 2 a.m. and nobody knew until the morning round. The first version existed to stop that happening on his own wells. It still runs on them.

Where we stand

The first field is ours.
We would rather say it.

The producing wells in the case study are operated by Green Flame Resources, and Argus was built inside that operation by the engineer who runs them. That is not an arm's-length customer reference and we do not present it as one.

What it does mean is that the software was shaped by consequences rather than by a specification. Every alarm exists because something happened at 2 a.m. and the alarm did not. The torque-creep detection exists because a well sanded up slowly enough that fixed thresholds never fired. The offline queue exists because Starlink blinks.

The next fields will be somebody else's, and we will label those differently when they arrive.

01We tell you what is not built Capabilities that are not in the field carry a roadmap marker on the platform page, and the case study states plainly what the live field does and does not do today. If you are buying on a feature, ask where it stands and you get a straight answer.
02You talk to the engineers There is no ticket queue and no sales-development rep. The person who answers your email is the person who can change the software.
03Your wells outlive your subscription Control is local and authoritative. The field unit runs the pump on its own setpoints; the cloud watches and reaches in. If you stop paying us, or we disappear entirely, you lose the remote view — never the production.
04It is an aid, not a safety system Argus does not replace protective devices, site procedures or supervision, and it is not a hazardous-area product. The standard enclosure is NEMA 3R, for unclassified locations.
